Men and women's roles

Many Christians today seem to forget that men and women have different roles both in the marriage, and the church.
Here i will go to the bible and tell you what i mean is a biblical division of roles in the church and the marriage.

In the marriage

Paul writes in the letter to the Ephesians about two main tasks in the marriage. He uses the Church and Jesus as a image on how the marriage should be.

Ephesians 5:21-33
21 Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.
22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:
30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
33 Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.

As seen over, Paul said this:
Mans role: Love he's wife as Christ loves the church and gave himself for it.
Womens role: Submit herself to her husband, for the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church.
So to you that supports equality of the gender's: Which one has the hardest task? If the woman don't do her task, why would the man do his?
Something that is important to know is the difference between Gender equality and equal worth of the genders.

In the church

The last century many churches have let women into the "elders" - Which means the leaders of a church. Or in this case old King James says bishop, but my Norwegian translation says elder.
According to the bible it is not allowed for a woman to be an elder/bishop.

1. Timothy 2:8-15
8 I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.
9 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;
10 But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.
11 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.
12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
15 Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.

1. Timothy 3:1-2
1 This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work.
2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;

The problem is that when churches say yes to a woman to be an elder. They have to deny 1. Timothy.
Once i showed these verses to a female priest. She said that it don't count anymore, that it was just then.

Hebrews 13:8
8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

As you see above, that argumentation is not biblical.
If you deny one phrase in the bible, - You are in great trouble!
Because if you deny one thing you can deny everything else too.
The result of that argumentation is that the same churches have now accepted gay marriage.
So by saying that it don't count anymore, you use the oldest trick in the devils book.

Genesis 3:1
1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said(Did God really say), Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
